The extended family went for a few days to Cox Bazaar - according to Bangladeshis this is the "longest sea beach in the world" - a fact apparently in dispute. Either way, its the premier tourist attraction for Bangladeshis and the beach is always packed with locals, many enjoying the ocean for the first time. Being a conservative country, people swim fully clothed.
It was Neve's first extended car trip in Bangladesh - it took at least 12 hours each way to travel the 450 odd kilometres from Dhaka. Not used to travelling without a car seat, Neve didn't get much sleep but was happy to play most of the way. Mum has, however, declared that there will not be a next time for travelling such a long distance - it will be the plane for us!
Neve wasn't a great fan of playing in the water - although she did wear a swimsuit for the first time - but she loved walking along the beach and playing up to the crowds who, as usual, were more interested in us than the environment around them.

12 hour drive - are you crazy? I don't like doing the 20 mins to the parents :-) neve looks so happy though and - you must admit - very nice in pink!
